 Virginia’s Linked Workforce Showcase

What:
Virginia Economic Bridge, Inc. (VEB) will host an event in Northern Virginia on July 14, 2004 to showcase companies from SW Virginia that are compatible to do outsourcing work for companies in Northern Virginia and that are in the same industry sector.  Following breakfast there will be several speakers, a panel discussion about subcontracting to SW VA companies; and roundtable discussions between No VA and SW VA companies designed to develop the relationships needed to begin strategic alliances.

Goal:

Encourage companies in Northern Virginia to subcontract work to companies in SW Virginia by holding an event in Northern Virginia to showcase the capabilities of companies from Southwestern Virginia. 

·         Facilitate the development of strategic alliances between companies in Southwestern Virginia and Northern Virginia. 
·         Stimulate the economy of Southwestern Virginia through workforce development and job creation
·         Develop a model urban/rural partnership
